Physical Therapist

I’m originally from Lisbon, Portugal and I moved to the States when I was 18 years old. I went to College in Boston at UMass-Boston and graduated with a Human Performance and Fitness degree and a Certification in Athletic Training. My love for sports and Body Movement along with the desire to help people has made this field of work ideal for me. It gives me a great sense of fulfillment knowing that I’m part of a team who’s dedicated to help people feel better, get better and function better. I also enjoy getting to know our patients.

Outside of work, I like to spend my free time with my family. I like traveling, reading and watching soccer matches on TV. I also enjoy kayaking and going on walks.

What is your favorite food?

I love a good traditional Spanish Paella, I can’t resist ordering it every time I see it on the menu.

What is your favorite form of exercise?

I enjoy pretty much any form of exercise, but I prefer a group activity like a pick up game of soccer, basketball or volleyball. It’s more fun and you don’t even realize how hard you are exerting yourself.

What do you miss most about being a kid?

Being carefree and worry-free.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

Dance. I’ve taken some dance lessons through the years, but I would love to learn more styles of dance like contemporary, hip hop and Latin dances.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?

Gorgo, Queen of Sparta. It would be neat to meet such strong, athletic and educated woman from ancient Greece.

What is your favorite time of day?

I enjoy the time right after dinner when you know chores are done and you can just relax and spend time with family.
